Daniel Justice

Daniel Heath Justice is an award-winning author, scholar, and citizen of the Cherokee Nation whose work explores Indigenous literature, culture, and storytelling. His online presence needed to better reflect the depth of his writing while creating a more intuitive experience for readers, educators, and event organizers.

We developed a refined visual identity centred around a custom logo and supporting brand pattern that reflect Daniel’s work and personal identity. The typography draws on the distinctive Phoreus Cherokee typeface, creating a visual language that feels both literary and contemporary while giving the brand a unique and memorable character.

Building on the new identity, we designed and developed a fully custom website that places Daniel’s work front and centre. We restructured an overly complex navigation system into a streamlined, user-friendly experience, making it easier to explore his books, academic work, speaking engagements, and other resources. The result is a cohesive digital platform that honours Daniel’s voice, reflects his cultural identity, and gives his work the thoughtful presentation it deserves.
